From "oops" and "ouch" to "ahh, my back hurts", workplaces hear it all.

Stats reveal that 12,900 injuries strike workplaces every day in the United States. To lend a helping hand, we're breaking down some of the most common causes of workplace injuries and how to keep them at bay.

Caring is cool. Share this with your besties; let's create a safer and more enjoyable workplace for everyone.

Slips, Trips, and Falls

Picture this: You're rushing around, and suddenly, bam! You slip on a wet floor or trip over clutter.

How to prevent it?

To prevent these embarrassing moments (and potential injuries), keep those walkways obstacle-free. If you spot a spill, don't let it linger – get it mopped up, and toss down some anti-slip mats where needed.

Falls from Heights

Working up high? Lack of fall protection can be risky.

How to prevent it?

Safety should be your BFF. Use proper fall protection gear, like safety harnesses, and guardrails when you're on elevated surfaces. This can help keep you securely grounded.

All That Strain and Overexertion

Lugging that heavy box like a superhero might seem impressive until your back protests.

How to prevent it?

Save yourself from overexertion woes by using proper techniques of lifting with your legs, not your back. When it's too heavy to handle solo, don't be shy – ask for a helping hand. And don't forget to take mini-breaks to recharge during your workday.

Machinery Accidents

Machinery can be a friend or foe, depending on how you treat it.

How to prevent it?

Want to stay pals? Ensure you're well-versed in its operation through comprehensive training. Regular equipment check-ups are a must to dodge malfunctions, and never, ever forget those safety guards – they're like the seatbelts of the industrial world!

Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSIs)

Today's work-life often involves repeating tasks like a broken record. But those repetitive motions and poor posture can spell trouble in the form of RSIs, like wrist tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger frigger, tennis elbow, to name a few.

How to prevent it?

Here's the scoop: ergonomic workstations are your besties. Take short breaks to stretch, wiggle, and change positions. And don't forget to sit up straight – keep your spine happy! You might even love adding some ergonomic accessories to your workstation (Think adjustable monitor stands and cozy lumbar rolls).

Well, safety is teamwork. It's important for employers to adhere to safety laws & standards, and make thorough risk assessments to put controls where they can. Plus, safety training and ground rules for safe work practices can go a long way.

Waiting it out isn't the best move. The sooner you know what's up, the better. Drop us a line!
